The Art of Yoga and Ayurveda: Our Holistic Debut at El Segundo ArtWalk 2025

by | Sep 11, 2025

This August, Live Your Best Life made its debut at El Segundo’s annual ArtWalk as a pre-opening introduction to the Southern California community. The ArtWalk typically draws thousands of attendees yearly who explore 40+ art venues throughout Smoky Hollow and downtown. We had our first chance to show how holistic wellness enhances community creativity.

Our Art-Focused Wellness Approach

Our space at 208 Main Street was formerly home to the El Segundo Museum of Art, which welcomed 1,500-2,500 visitors each year during ArtWalk. Our participation honored this artistic legacy while demonstrating how Ayurveda, yoga, and cultural practices create their own form of accessible art.

What We Brought to El Segundo ArtWalk 2025

Picture walking into a space where ancient Sanskrit mantras tower above you while soulful melodies of classical Indian music fill the air. That’s exactly what greeted visitors to our transformed gallery space. We turned our center into an interactive art playground where creativity and healing merged naturally.

Live Indian Classical Music Set the Scene

Pandit Suman Laha’s Veena performance became the heartbeat of our space. For hours, his classical Indian melodies created intimate musical moments that had people pausing mid-conversation just to listen. The music naturally drew visitors deeper into our activities, creating the perfect backdrop for everything that followed.

Interactive Mantra Banner Art You Could Touch

Three towering 10-foot mantra banners co-designed by founder Sachin Nayyar and NY artist Nidhi Adhiya-Huba commanded attention on our north wall. But here’s what made them special: they hung low enough for visitors to trace the Sanskrit letters with their fingers, connecting people with ancient wisdom through touch and art.

Spontaneous Yoga Sessions

Our Yoga Director Lea Kraemer and guest teacher Greg Nardi turned impromptu moments into mini yoga sessions right under our banners. People would stop, stretch, and connect while classical music played around them. Our space became a wellness sanctuary within the bustling art celebration, proving that yoga happens naturally when the environment invites it.

Ayurvedic Spice Tastings That Taught Real Wellness

Dr. Bhattacharya, our Chief Medical Officer, turned our reception area into a sensory learning lab. Visitors tasted turmeric, cardamom, ginger, and betel nuts while learning each spice’s healing properties. We also served Shadanga Paniya, a traditional six-herb elixir, giving people a real taste of how personalized Ayurvedic formulations work for daily wellness.

Sanskrit Name Art During World Sanskrit Week

Perfect timing during World Sanskrit Week made Sanskrit name painting a huge hit. Dr. Bhaswati taught visitors to paint their names in Sanskrit, creating personalized art pieces they took home while learning about this ancient script.

Community Wellness Mural Project That Sparked Self-Discovery

We covered 30 feet of gallery wall space with easel paper for our interactive mural focused on tattvas and chakras. Lea and Nidhi created prompts like “Draw a symbol that makes you feel grounded” and “Draw a symbol that sparks your creativity.” Kids painted freely while adults engaged in deeper self-inquiry through art.

Why Our Debut Created Buzz

This wasn’t just wellness promotion, it was art in action. From spice tastings to Sanskrit art, people discovered wellness concepts through hands-on engagement rather than lectures.

Our old-school sign-in book collected five pages of email addresses from people interested in continuing their wellness journey with us.
