Guided meditation for brain health with Lea Kraemer, and a guided Mahjong lesson with Janet Li. A mindful social gathering. Tea and treats.

About this event

This is great event for beginners to learn Mahjong. We start off with Guided Meditation to focus your mind and get the brain ready to learn.

Then Janet Li will teach you how the game of Mahjong is played.

Enjoy a mindful social gathering, and relaxed community atmosphere. Tea and treats.

“Between games, we quietly listened to the melodic shuffling of the smooth tiles clinking against each other, thought to echo the sound of sparrows.

Mah-jongg is the name of a bird in Chinese, the language of the country where the game was popularized in 1880 — though some form of it has been played there since the 1300s.” – The Many Benefits of Playing Mah-jongg by Brahna Yassky

In Chinese style Mahjong the game is played in groups of 4.

Greg Nardi, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500 began his yoga journey in 1996 when a good friend asked him to “try” yoga. From that first class he knew that this was something he was meant to do. Yoga helped him feel healthy after years of childhood illness, anxiety and depression and most importantly yoga gave him a sense of meaning and purpose. He dedicated himself to a yogic lifestyle as part of his healing journey.

Greg took four separate teacher trainings in the United States and Europe between 1997 and 2003. He took a dozen extended trips to Mysore, India between 1999-2016 to learn yoga with a focus in asana, yoga history and philosophy, pranayama, meditation, and chanting. Greg is a graduate of the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy and was formerly authorized level 2 with the KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.

Greg is currently the Program Director for Yoga 4 Change. He has worked in many facets of the yoga industry from being a yoga studio owner/operator, an international workshop presenter, and has dedicated himself to educating yoga practitioners about power dynamics and consent driven, person-centered, and trauma informed approaches to the teaching and practice of Yoga.

Greg has always considered yoga to be both a form of individual healing and social justice. Greg sits on the Board of Directors for Chainless Change, a community of recovery offering second chances to those negatively impacted by the criminal legal system. He believes in the healing power of yoga for all.

An unforgettable journey where ancient wisdom meets modern healing. Discover the transformative power of raga-infused sound healing.

About this event

An unforgettable journey where ancient wisdom meets modern healing. Discover the transformative power of raga-infused sound healing.

A Soundbath is a deep, restorative relaxation with crystal bowls and natural sounds. Close your eyes, and allow the music to carry you inward.

6:30pm – 8:00pm
February 7, March 14 and March

An unforgettable journey where ancient wisdom meets modern life. Discover the transformative power of raga-infused sound healing.

No prior experience is needed. Just bring yourself and a willingness to receive.

This unique approach honors the therapeutic power of sound while celebrating the profound wisdom embedded in India’s classical musical traditions. His sessions offer more than just relaxation—they provide rich and nourishing experiences that resonate on multiple levels of consciousness.

What sets our Sounbaths apart in the sound healing community is the innovative fusion of ancient classical ragas with traditional Soundbath practices. Drawing from the musical heritage of India, singing bowls are carefully selected, whose frequencies align with the notes of classical ragas, creating a harmonious bridge between Eastern musical tradition and contemporary sound therapy.

Each session culminates in the ethereal sounds of sitar or surbahar, accompanied by the meditative drone of tanpuras, transporting participants into deeper states of relaxation and inner exploration.
